Marc Daniels, LEED AP
President, CEO
During college, Marc worked for a medium-sized Mechanical Contractor as Chief Estimator and managed their ductwork fabrication shop. Upon leaving college, Marc worked for 8 years first as a Project Engineer then Project Manager for a large Commercial General Contractor. Marc primarily focused on Design/Build and CMAR Projects during this period and was typically assigned work in the High-Tech Electronics Manufacturing and Power Generation Industries. After forming BEC Southwest in 1992, Marc continued his focus on these types of projects and has expanded the company’s reach into Health Care, Bio-Technology, Basic Research and Medical and Food Products Manufacturing Industries. BEC is now considered one of the area’s premier Design-Build Contractors.
Becky Daniels
Vice President, Business Development
Becky Daniels has lived in Flagstaff 29 years running a successful interior furnishings and Design business. She has been very involved in the Community including serving as the Student Council advisor for Sinagua High school where she has inspired and guided students in planning and executing high quality, engaging and successful events. As a very active member of the community Becky serves as an Ambassador for the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, is an innovative leader in regional enrichment and enjoys participating in community betterment events. Becky has been heavily involved in event planning and fundraising for the Arizona Special Olympics, and America Cancer Society. She is a Champion for the North Country Health Care patient medical care network in Northern Arizona and has created a highly successful and dynamic annual golf tournament benefiting the Angel Fund. Becky has been involved with many aspects of BEC Southwest development in the construction industry over the last 25 years, and now focuses her efforts on identifying and meeting client needs and developing meaningful and lasting relationships in Northern Arizona and the greater Phoenix area.
Amy Valenzuela
Vice President, CFO
Amy joined BEC Southwest, Inc three years ago as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. She was raised in Flagstaff, AZ and is an NAU Alumni. As a nationally recognized Manager with over 10 years of Financial Management experience and an MBA from University of Phoenix, Amy has focused her efforts on integrating financial, risk management, and operations accounting functions.
Steve Bernard
Operations Manager
Steve has more than 35 years of project management experience and nearly 25 years in Flagstaff alone. He is uniquely qualified to manage all aspects of Design/Build and CMAR projects. His involvement with both the preconstruction and construction phase of this project will help produce realistic budgets and schedules as well as high value and efficient construction operations. As Operations Manager Steve is responsible for the implementation of BEC project management and control systems as well as planning and resource allocation at both the project and enterprise levels.
